BetterMan Core 2.0 — Session 2: Man & His Story
En español — Mejor Hombre, Sesión 2: Mirando hacia atrás
2) Memorize · Genesis 50:20
As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good in order to bring about this present result, to preserve many people alive. (NASB95)
3) In the Word — Genesis 50:20
2D — discover & discuss
- Joseph’s brothers sold him into slavery, and years later he says, “You meant evil … God meant it for good.” What did Joseph have to believe about God to be able to say that?
- Joseph doesn’t pretend the evil wasn’t evil. How is that different from just “getting over it” or stuffing it?
- Which chapter of your own story have you never let God (or another man) read?
3A — Sketch your life timeline in your journal (highs, lows, turning points) and mark one place where you can now see God at work.
4) Connect
Where did you grow up, and what’s one moment that shaped who you are today?
5) Prayer
For God to redeem the hard chapters, and for courage to tell our stories honestly to one another.
